What does diversity and inclusion mean to you and Twitter?

It warms my heart every time I hear something like this, but it's not just a story we hear every day. This is normal for us. As you can imagine, as an employee, it feels great to be part of a business with such purpose and capabilities.


I define inclusion as a moment when we all feel like we truly belong, we are able to contribute and interact by bringing our whole selves to work. It sounds utopian, but we've come a long way as a company over the past few years. The reason we do this is Azerbaijan WhatsApp Number List because we believe as a platform, everyone in the world should have the ability to express themselves on Twitter. If we want all these voices to be heard, we have a responsibility to build a platform and business for all users to make that happen.

What are you doing to increase the representation of women on Twitter?
I am not the first female leader in the Asia-Pacific region. My predecessor was a woman, so there is a lot to say about the history of female leaders in the corporate world. If I look at the country leaders in the Asia-Pacific region on Twitter, there is a very even mix of men and women. I'm honored to be able to say that, and it's a huge credit to Twitter for systematically focusing on things like equality and extended parental leave, as well as hiring practices that are consciously focused on getting enough women into the workforce.
  


It's good to keep that balance. Men have great ideas too, but they get better when we work together as men and women.

How can you use Twitter to do good when it comes to environmental issues?
We've seen, in the last two or three years, a really dramatic increase in the discussion around the environment. We also see consumer tweets outpacing business tweets in some ways. It goes beyond corporate social responsibility (CSR) and allows people to say [protecting the environment] is a good thing. So the platform itself is a huge catalyst to bring this type of activism to the environment, which is really important.

As a company, we focus on the space we own. This includes working to ensure we have green buildings and use renewable energy. We are also committed to reducing plastic consumption in the office and hosting sustainable events.
